After 15 years of calling Pine View home, Administrative Assistant Beth Baranowski will be leaving her current position in order to accept her new position as Administrative Assistant to the Sarasota County School Board’s Chief Financial Officer, Mitsi Corcoran.
For the past five years, Baranowski has served alongside Jennifer Nzeza, Assistant Principal of grades 10 through 12, as her secretary. Before her time at Pine View, Baranowski worked as a secretary for multiple companies, including a period of time at Dunkin’ Donuts.
While Baranowski’s last day at the school remains tentative, she has already begun the transition by shortening her work hours at Pine View to half work days. “I feel nervous about the new position while going in not knowing anything or anyone and having to adjust, but I’m mostly excited,” she said.
Baranowski accepted the new position at Sarasota County School Board for the financial pay raise, though she said she will miss Pine View – especially the students – and the memories she’s made during her time at the school.
“She is one of the most generous, empathetic and meticulous people I know,” Nzeza said. “She’s been a joy to work with.”
