In an effort to mitigate cyberbullying, Pine View held a school-wide bullying and harassment activity Friday, Jan. 12. Students at the middle and high school level watched a TEDx TEEN talk on solution to the problem, seen here, followed by an in class discussion on the topic of cyberbullying. After the video, students were asked to a sign a social media pledge to stop online harassment. Here is what some students thought.
What did you think of the anti-bullying video?
“The video was very informative. I learned that cyber bullying is actually just as bad as normal bullying and we should be aware of that.”
“It was a bunch of stuff we already knew.”
“It’s focusing on the wrong issue; the real issue is mental anxiety.”
“It was intriguing to see that such a young girl would take on such a huge responsibility to solve such a giant problem.”
