Sharon Springs was a town
in a magical crack
Of the Adirondacks,
But she was much more than that!
She housed the Zen Center,
She welcomed Hasidic Jews,
the 1960’s hippies,
And the 1940s blues.
If you blinked more than twice,
You would miss this town,
and the mineral springs
After driving straight down.
They came here for health
and for smoothing out age,
they brought along wealth
and their oldest wise sage.
This town, it was magical,
just like I said,
the energies there
affected the heads
of the wisest of masters
who were walking their paths
When they found their way here
To the mineral baths.
The blokes and we girls
felt the history all around.
We accepted the community
and became part of the town.
We learned so much more
about cultures, like pearls,
we grew up a lot here,
In this crack in the world.
