Halloween is just around the corner, and whether you’re celebrating or not, trick-or-treating is an essential. In the spookiest month of the year, consider the six following places on your Halloween route for 2022. Ranging from local neighborhood spots to organized events, you’ll (hopefully) never reach a “dead” end.
1) BOO! at The Bazaar
Enjoy indoor trick or treating at The Bazaar with live music Saturday, Oct. 29. Show up in your Halloween costume from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for some sweet treats.
2) Fright Night on St. Armands Circle
From 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Oct. 31, trick or treat throughout St. Armands Circle amongst the decorated storefronts. At 8 p.m., Sarasota High School theater and drama students will perform the Thriller dance in Circle Park.
3) Cherokee Park Neighborhood
Suggested by multiple Torch staff members, Cherokee Park Neighborhood is a great place if you’re looking for more local treats. On Halloween night, there’s sure to be a candy jackpot!
4) Siesta Key Safe Treats
Siesta Key Safe Treats features participating stores along both the North and South Siesta Key Village Oct. 31. The free Siesta Key Breeze trolley ensures there’s no candy left behind. Although this event is targeted towards a younger demographic, everybody is welcome from 3 to 6 p.m.
5) Arbor Lakes
Yet another neighborhood known to be candy filled on Halloween is Arbor Lakes. This extensive neighborhood allows trick-or-treaters to have a significant candy route. There’s bound to be something for everyone.
6) Lights at Spooky Point
Last but not least, Lights at Spooky Point is a brand new, Halloween-themed light show at the Historic Spanish Point Campus. While Spooky Point isn’t your traditional trick-or-treating route, it’s still definitely worth including, with food, beverages, and a hay maze. If you’re interested in following this eerie path, be sure to buy tickets in advance for Oct. 14 to 31.
