On May 2, the Arts and Cultural Alliance of Sarasota County will be hosting the first InspireSarasota! festival. This free, open-to-the-public event is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m at downtown Sarasota’s Five Points Park.
Over 500 students will perform and present exhibits at the event, which features three outdoor stages. Among the performers at InspireSarasota! will be the Sarasota Opera, the Sarasota Ballet, The Player’s Theatre and Florida Studio Theater.
Pine View students Schuyler Joerger, Ally Mattia, Rachel Galindo, Ruby Bullock, Jaclyn Wiley and Sofia Calderon will have their artwork placed at InspireSarasota!.
Additionally, author and Grammy winner Bill Harley will give two readings and sign books at the events. Other young authors will also be in attendance to sign their books.
Local organizations will offer information regarding summer and after-school programs and workshops, in addition to scholarship opportunities at InspireSarasota!
Fun events for kids will also be available.
