Finding a quality, yet affordable restaurant on a time crunch can certainly create a challenge, especially among the hustle and bustle of downtown Sarasota. Spice Station, a new, contemporary Asian fusion restaurant, offers everything one is looking for in a go-to spot.
Walking into Spice Station, customers are greeted with a comforting ambiance and are able to enjoy the contemporary and classic Asian style decor such as intricate wooden decorations, modern architecture styles and sleek windows. While dining, the friendly, quick-working staff ensures customers a pleasant experience both inside and out of the kitchen.
The Spice Station menu contains dining options originating from several countries across Asia: most geographically derived from Japan and Thailand. Every bite served at Spice Station is a burst of spice or sweetness. The sweet-tooth might order the classic sweet and sour tofu or chicken with a side of jasmine rice, while any spice-lover may try the ‘three flavors fish’ — flakey, battered grouper with a perfectly-spiced three-flavor chili sauce. An option combining sweet and spicy would be yum-nuea, which is smokey charred sirloin in a mixed salad with a light lime and chili dressing served with freshly steamed basil rolls, flavorful shrimp and vegetables wrapped in rice paper served with a classic sweet and sour sauce.
Starter prices range from $4 to $10 and the favorites of these include spring rolls, potstickers and chicken karaage. Along with these, the menu offers over 50 other meal items ranging from seafood to pad Thai in addition to flavorful vegetarian and vegan options. Entree pricing ranges from $5 to $18. At such affordable pricing, Spice Station is the perfect place to head to when looking for a place to eat amidst other expensive restaurants in the area.
Depending on the number of people and what one would order, catering prices range from as low as $35 for a group of 6 to 8 having bite-sized starters, to $200 for a group of 20 to 25 having red curry salmon or a sashimi platter.
Spice Station is located at 1438 Boulevard of the Arts, Sarasota, Florida, 34236. It’s open from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and from 12 p.m. to 9:30 p.m on weekends.
