Chris Lenerz
Advisor
Chris Lenerz teaches middle and high school journalism at Pine View School in Osprey, FL. He is the adviser for two print newspapers, a news magazine, an online publication, two yearbooks, a broadcast program and a literary magazine. He’s been an FSPA member since 2012. His favorite part of advising is seeing students develop as leaders through being involved with student-run publications. He believes journalism students are presented with the opportunity to foster skills and form relationships that will benefit them for the rest of their lives.
Jiayi Zhu

Jiayi is a senior and the Editor-in-Chief of the Torch. When she's not fighting hunger in fifth period, she's either laughing at a Torchie's joke, multitasking, curating the perfect vibe, or going outdoors. She can't wait for an awesome year with awesome people!
Lindsay Luberecki
Torch Assistant Editor-in-Chief
Lindsay is a senior and one of the Assistant Editors-in-Chief of the Torch this year. When she's not working on her stories, you can usually find her at a coffee shop, at the beach, or at home listening to her record collection (or Spotify). She also loves to dance and travel, and she's so excited for a great year with The Torch!

Aly Zaleski is a senior and one of your lovely Assistant Editor-in-Chiefs this year. In honor of her one and only previous position on Torch as the Humor editor, she will be M.I.A. this year as she plans for the fourth and final story in the Terry Saga™.
Terry Shen

Terry is the Managing Editor of the Torch. He has been at Pine View since the sixth grade, is currently a senior, and has been on the Torch for all of high school. Terry enjoys biking, making new friends, and reading books of all genres.

Robyn Schoenberg is a Junior and is Co-News Editor with Allie Chung this year. She is Co-Historian of PV Poets Society and Drama Club. She loves books, coffee, the outdoors, and spending time with friends. ♡

Allie is a sophomore and the co-news editor for The Torch. When she is not swimming, she can be found complaining about swimming. She loves to collect pink sea shells and is addicted to ALL foods from Trader Joe's. Fun fact: she can be manipulated into anything if you give her a Trader Joe's chili lime chip. She loves The Torch and all the staff members very much.

Jakob is a Sophomore on Torch this year. He enjoys going on hikes, as well as spending time relaxing.
Andrew Ashby

Andrew Ashby is a sophomore and the self-proclaimed best part of Torch’s web staff. Andrew loves sweet tea, old PS3/Wii U games, and just about every sport. When he isn’t drowning in the AP classes he already regrets taking, you can find him either glued to his phone screen, or frantically running around campus trying to remember where he lost it.

Elena is a twelfth-grader and the Features Editor for the Pine View Torch. She enjoys apocalyptic poetry, picking her guitar, and galumphing in wild places. When Elena grows up, she wants to be a botanist by day and a YA author by night.

Alex is a sophomore and enjoys math, horror movies, biology, and cats. They are the #1 fan of the Riemann Zeta Function, and various movie characters. Alex does stem cell research and plays with their cat named Bird during free time.

Athena is a freshman and has been at Pine View since second grade. She likes listening to K-pop music and spending time researching something that she will never be interested in again. Also, she spent a lot of time thinking of what to write for her introduction.

Katerina is a freshman at Pine View and she plays soccer and tennis. She values her quiet life so often times when she is not at school or doing extracurricular activities she is at home or with her close friends. She likes to bake all sorts of sweets and really enjoys watching movies, her favorite being Harry potter.

Ava Lenerz is a junior and loves musical theater and movies (she keeps a list of all the movies that she has seen in theaters because she's a little crazy). She has a passion for journalism and loves Match Staff, the only downside is that her father is the teacher.

She joined journalism in eighth grade and has enjoyed writing stories for all publications. If you ever need to find her, she can be found hiding somewhere in the Torch room.

As a sophomore on The Torch staff, Timmy (as the staff calls him) has earned a reputation for being quite the talker. If you don't find him binge watching seasons of Big Brother and Survivor, you'll find him at work laying out his pages listening to indie music. Timothy is excited to be The Match Assistant Editor in Chief and the Spark Editor in Chief for the school year.

Hi, I’m Anna! Anna’s favorite foods are Chinese foods, like noodles and hotpot. Usually, you would find Anna rowing, playing piano, or playing tennis. She loves hanging out with friends and playing video games. One of her favorite things to do is shop for random things at the mall.
